Such Beauty the World Has Never Seen
Today was filled with God's beauty as I hiked through Topanga State Park with my dear friend Julie. The mountains and oceans always stir my heart, reminding of the breathtaking beauty that our creator graced us with on this earth. Julie and I started to talk about how the photos just didn't do the beauty justice and how God created the eye so amazingly complicated that no one can replicate, truly recreate, how the eye works. The colors we see through that amazing organ.... WOW! It's mind boggling.
I hope that where ever you are that you are able to really slow down and enjoy beauty, whether it be in nature, someone you just met, or a loved one. I have seen a lot of beauty on this trip, one of them being helping a homeless gentleman who had pancreatic cancer get a cheap motel until he could get to the hospital on Mon. He had documentation to show everything, including his service dogs papers for being a ptsd/cancer dog. He was also a fellow brother in christ and the taxi cab driver that brought us to the motel was so touched that he gave me a discount on the whole ride. He was a Muslim man. We had a great talk on the way to the airport. The gentleman that has cancer and I prayed for each other, exchanged phone numbers and emails, and said goodbye. He said he had never experienced such help and I told it definitely was from our Father. Beauty is EVERYWHERE, we just have to look.
Opening up our heart, our lives, and yes sometimes our wallets, can be scary, but when God is the one doing the prompting, He will never disappoint. We just need to keep open eyes and ears, which can be hard with all distractions we occupy ourselves with, but adventuring with my Jesus has a way of removing the distractions and bringing you face to face with the very ones that He loves, and THAT is BEAUTIFUL!
Unfortunately I forgot to get a picture of Daniel and his girlfriend (soon to be wife) Amber, but I hope to hear from them soon and get updates as well. If not, it was a blessing that I really just handed them from God, so it doesn't really matter. :)
Remember, I love each and everyone of you. You are all a treasure and are absolutely pure BEAUTY!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
Alicia
P.S. one more picture of God's BEAUTIFUL CREATION!
